Stuff to Do: Old Town Celebrations

Old Town is the place to be this Saturday, September 1.

Join in celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Overland Mail.

Saturday will begin with a parade down San Diego Avenue followed by an historic reenactment of the arrival of the Overland Mail. Grand re-opening of the Seeley Stables Museum and exhibits. Live animals, wagon rides, living history activities, and historic wagon displays will celebrate life in San Diego during the 1800s.

And while you are there to celebrate -check out the Old Town Saturday Market.

Paintings - Jewelry - Photography - Hand Blown Glass - Clothing - Pottery - and more... On Harney Street in the Heart of Old Town. Admission is free.

Finish off your day with a great meal in one of the 32 restaurants. My favorite is the Casa de Reyes in the Plaza Del Pasado (www.plazadelpasado.com)

Enjoy your weekend!
